Diploma in Music Production
Course Objectives
This course aims to introduce students to fundamental music production techniques. Through a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on practice, students will gain proficiency in essential skills such as MIDI programming, audio editing, arranging, and basic mixing. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to create their own music productions, incorporating synthesized sounds, sampled instruments, and recorded audio, laying the groundwork for further exploration in music production and composition.

Learning Outcomes
- Understand the principles of MIDI programming and apply it to create musical arrangements.
- Demonstrate proficiency in audio editing techniques, including cutting, splicing, and time-stretching.
- Develop skills in arranging music tracks to create cohesive compositions.
- Gain knowledge of basic mixing concepts and apply them to balance levels, EQ, and add effects.
- Utilize software instruments and virtual synthesizers to create a variety of sounds.
- Create basic drum tracks using drum machines or MIDI sequencing.
- Produce a simple music composition using a combination of synthesized sounds, sampled instruments, and recorded audio.

About course designers
- Dr. Krupesh Thacker: He is a renowned singer-songwriter, music producer, music therapist, director, and filmmaker. He is actively involved in the Gujarati and Hindi music and film industries. As a music producer, he has more than 100 songs to his credit. These songs have been released worldwide by Krup Music Label. Many of his songs have been trending on various platforms such as JioSaavn, Hungama, Gaana, Spotify, YouTube etc. As a lyricist, composer, and singer, he has worked on over 25 music videos. As a producer, he worked on an award-winning feature film and also directed many web series. He has worked on eighteen films, including popular Gujarati and Hindi movies. As an author, his acclaimed literary works are published in the best-selling ‘Bhagavad Gita for Life’ book series. As a life coach, he has devised and implemented a variety of ‘Spiritual Awareness and Enlightenment Workshops’. As a changemaker, he oversees more than 50 social and cultural initiatives, including global campaigns to inspire society. He started his medical journey with MBBS and MHA (Masters in Health Administration) and served as a research scientist in USA. He learned music recording and music production from GTCC College in USA. So far, he conducted 150+ music therapy sessions and designed numerous music therapy courses.
